What to Expectin Every Class
Every class is built around one idea: you should walk out more capable than when you walked in. Not just more tired. Not just more sore. More prepared. Here’s how it works.
Before Class
Show up a few minutes early. Not because we’re strict about it — because your brain needs the transition. Stretch. Move around. Let go of whatever happened today and get your mind where your body is about to be. This is where training actually starts.
Warm-Up
Dynamic movement, light conditioning, and drills that wake up your nervous system. This isn’t filler — it’s how we prevent injuries and get your body ready to learn.
You’ll notice the warm-up connects to what we’re training that day. It’s intentional preparation, not random cardio.
Combatives
This is where you build your striking foundation. Punches, elbows, knees, kicks — the tools you’ll use in every scenario we train. We teach proper mechanics, timing, and footwork so your strikes land with purpose.
You’re not just swinging. You’re building muscle memory that fires under pressure.
Self-Defense Technique
Every class has a threat of the day. Chokes, grabs, holds, ground attacks — the situations real people face. We break each defense down step by step: you see it, you understand it, you practice it slowly, then you build speed and resistance.
By the end of this block, the technique should feel like yours — not something you watched someone else do.
Scenario Drill
This is where it comes together. We combine the strikes and the defense into a realistic scenario and run it under increasing pressure. This is the closest thing to a real situation you’ll experience in training — and that’s the point.
The more your body practices performing under stress, the less likely you are to freeze when it matters.
When you leave, you should know — not hope, know — that you could handle what we trained today if it ever happened to you. That’s what we’re building. Every class. Every time.
You’re not just attending a class. You’re building a system — one layer at a time. Every session adds something. The goal is simple: when you leave, you should know that you could handle what we trained today if it ever happened to you.
Combatives
Give you tools — the strikes, kicks, elbows, and knees that form your offensive arsenal.
Techniques
Give you solutions — specific defenses against specific real-world threats.
Drills
Give you proof — that you can use both when it counts, under pressure, when nothing goes as planned.
