Your Training PathThrough the Levels
A structured, progressive journey — from foundational skills through weapons defense and mastery. Each level builds on the last.
Level 1 (Yellow Belt) — 4–6 months: Essential techniques — basic strikes, defenses against chokes, headlocks, and wrist grabs. Foundational concepts like situational awareness and creating space. Building a solid base that enables instinctive response to threats.
Levels 2–5 (Orange to Brown Belt) — ~1 year per level: Refining and expanding foundational skills. Advanced strikes, defenses, close-quarter combat. Weapon defenses against sticks, knives, and handguns. Ground fighting and multiple-attacker scenarios. Increasing adaptability to dynamic, high-pressure situations.
Level 6 (Black Belt) — ~2 years: Mastery of all previous skills. High-level weapons proficiency and complex real-world scenarios including active shooter response and third-party protection. Strategic thinking, rapid response, and control in chaotic, life-threatening situations.
Advancement requires consistent training — most students progress through each level in about a year at twice a week, with Level 6 requiring around two years. This steady pace builds confidence and proficiency in each skill, ensuring techniques become instinctual and reliable.
Throughout your journey, you acquire physical skills and develop the essential Krav Maga mindset. Awareness, decisiveness, and problem-solving under pressure combine with physical techniques to create a comprehensive self-defense approach.
By the time you complete your training path, you possess a well-rounded skill set — prepared to protect yourself and others with confidence and control.
Each level is cumulative. Your future progress depends on your comfort and skill with everything that came before.
