The Levels of Readiness seminar series is designed to progressively build your confidence and self-defense skills through real-world scenarios. Starting with assertive defense techniques, you'll learn how to strike effectively and escape from common attacks. From there, you'll advance to mastering movement in tight spaces and against walls, adapting to the challenges of confined environments. Finally, the series focuses on basic ground defense, teaching you how to protect yourself when taken to the ground and how to safeguard others in dangerous situations.
This hands-on series equips participants with practical, adaptable skills and a resilient mindset, ensuring you leave empowered to face any situation with confidence. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to enhance your existing abilities, the Levels of Readiness framework offers a comprehensive approach to personal safety and self-defense.
Levels of Readiness
1. Foundational Safety & Assertive Defense
- Learn effective striking techniques with hands, elbows, knees, and feet.
- Master escape tactics from grabs, bearhugs, and takedowns.
- Develop movement and positioning to stay protected while defending effectively.
- Build confidence and assertiveness through practical, hands-on drills.
2. Movement & Advanced Defense
- Practice fighting and defending in tight spaces such as against walls or in crowded areas.
- Learn advanced defensive tactics to counter more aggressive threats.
- Utilize environmental awareness and objects as tools to enhance your defenses.
- Develop quick thinking and adaptability under pressure in confined scenarios.
3. Basic Ground Defense & Protecting Others
- Master basic ground defense techniques to escape from mounted attackers or bad positions.
- Learn to defend yourself when pinned on the ground in confined or vulnerable situations.
- Protect loved ones with situational strategies for third-party defense.
- Build resilience and confidence to stay calm and take control during high-pressure scenarios.
