At East Texas Krav Maga, we don’t believe in one-size-fits-all training. Whether you’re brand new to self-defense or a seasoned practitioner, our curriculum is built to meet you where you are and guide you toward real-world readiness—step by step.

Every level of our system is designed to challenge you physically and mentally while building on a foundation of solid, proven principles. Our structured progression gives you the tools to defend yourself, stay fit, and grow more confident in your ability to face anything life throws your way.


Level 1: Foundations – Build Confidence with Basics

This is where your journey begins. Level 1 focuses on establishing a strong base of fundamental techniques and awareness. You’ll develop striking skills, basic footwork, and the ability to recognize and avoid threats before they escalate. From day one, you’ll be empowered with practical tools and a mindset that prioritizes safety, awareness, and confidence.

Key Focus Areas:

  • Basic strikes (punches, elbows, knees, kicks)

  • Footwork, evasion, and defensive positioning

  • Situational awareness and verbal de-escalation

Primary Goals:

  • Build confidence and body awareness

  • Establish safe, effective movement patterns

  • Develop a proactive and prepared mindset


Levels 2 & 3: Intermediate – Develop Real-World Skills

At this stage, you're no longer just learning how to move—you’re learning when and why to move. Levels 2 and 3 focus on blending striking and grappling skills while building your ability to solve problems under pressure. You’ll face more unpredictable and chaotic scenarios, requiring you to think on your feet, adapt to changing threats, and work through entangled positions using the tools you've developed.

You’ll also begin to understand how to improvise through unfamiliar situations to reach more familiar, controllable positions. This is where Krav Maga training begins to feel real—testing your ability to apply principles, not just techniques.

Key Focus Areas:

  • Intermediate striking and defensive combinations

  • Grappling fundamentals: clinch work, takedown defense, escapes

  • Reflex drills and stress-based scenario training

  • Problem-solving in motion and environmental awareness

Primary Goals:

  • Develop the ability to adapt under pressure

  • Build dynamic striking and grappling proficiency

  • Learn to improvise solutions when plans break down

  • Strengthen mental flexibility and fight IQ


Levels 4, 5, & 6: Advanced – Become Proficient Under Pressure

In the advanced levels, you're training to operate in extreme conditions. These classes are designed to simulate high-stress, high-stakes scenarios—including weapons-based entanglements, multiple attackers, and rapid transitions between striking, grappling, and environmental navigation. Here, technique is important—but your ability to apply principles with speed, aggression, and clarity becomes the key to success.

You’ll learn to improvise through chaos, using Krav Maga’s core principles to generate faster reactions and more aggressive counterattacks. Training includes knife and gun defense, high-stress drills, and developing control in the most dangerous and unpredictable situations.

Key Focus Areas:

  • Advanced striking and counterattacks under fatigue

  • Weapons-based grappling and entangled defense

  • Defending against multiple attackers and weapon threats

  • Principle-based improvisation and decision-making

Primary Goals:

  • React quickly and effectively under extreme pressure

  • Master weapon disarms, control tactics, and environmental use

  • Execute controlled aggression through principle-driven action

  • Train with the mindset of not just surviving—but winning
